Principal's Message

Students and Parents,

Welcome back to a new and hopefully exciting school year.  The 2022-2023 school year is the one that we all hope will return to a pre-pandemic normal operation.  I want to thank everyone so much for your patience in dealing with the seemingly endless stream of COVID changes the last few years.

We are excited that we now are offering our Sophomore through Senior students the chance to sign up for one of the many classes TCAT Livingston has to offer.  Some of these students will graduate with industry certifications in their chosen field of study.  We are also offering two new Statewide Dual Credit courses.  Some of the Seniors can test for college credit in Statistics and some of the Juniors will be able to test for college credit in Plant Science.

Teachers are already implementing their plans that will challenge their students and guide them toward the goal of successfully graduating high school and preparing them for their next phase of life.  As always the team here at Pickett County High School is committed to insuring all students receive the best instruction possible in an environment that students feel safe and secure. We also realize that you, the parents, play a crucial role in your child’s education and welcome your help and feedback.

I will devote all of my effort to insure Pickett County High School continues its proud traditions and maintains the highest of standards. My door is always open so you are welcome anytime.

With your help, we can make this a successful and prosperous school year.

Sincerely,

Mitch Buckman
